Happy Valentines Day xoxox.
This past week the kids and I have been pretty busy making Valentine goodies for our "Love Is Sweet....." Valentine Dessert Table. Inspired by some of the images being posted on pinterest.com I thought I might give it a try.
First, I imagined a beautiful pale, romantic, dusky-like pink and creamy-white, colour palate and worked from there.
These treat bags were made from a Papermania bag template from craftsuperstore.
Princess and I drew around the template onto white card, cut it out and assembled the bag as instructed. We then used my slice machine to create the pink hearts and scalloped circles. The You're Sweet and Happy Valentine's Day circles were a free printable from green-apple-paperie.
A few days later, we made the sugar heart cookies.
Then, last night we made the Vanilla Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.
I made the fondant pink roses and dusted them with edible pale, pink glitter. The pink spots are by www.oetker.co.uk usually you can buy these in your local supermarket in the baking aisle. With the left over cake and frosting I made some Valentine Push-up pops.
I just layered the cake and the frosting and scattered some mini Strawberry Chews. The printables are from catchmyparty.com
The rest of the Valentine's goodies were sourced from various supermarkets eg: Home Bargins, Tesco, Marks and Spencer.
It was lovely to spend the time with the kids putting this Valentine Dessert Table together and to see all our ideas come to life. Here is another peek..........
Hope everyone has a magical Valentine's Day.
